Only 16.7% of Indian adolescents understand basic money management. We're changing that — one workshop, one school, one child at a time.
Our Story
As a third-year student of accounting and finance, the most important lesson wasn't how to make money — it was how to manage it.
Young people today are focused on success and lifestyle, without understanding the debt traps they may fall into or the opportunities they may miss. Financial literacy isn't taught in most schools — and the data shows it.
The Child Education and Welfare Society was founded to bridge this gap. Using first-hand academic knowledge and partnerships with fintech companies, we bring financial education directly to children — at the age it matters most.
Children my age are focused on making money and living a luxury lifestyle — not on the debt traps they may incur or the opportunities they may forgo. That's exactly why financial literacy needs to start early.
Programs
We run structured programs designed to reach children at every level — from government school students to college-goers.
Engaging, hands-on sessions held at schools and colleges covering budgeting, saving, debt, and investing — designed to be fun and age-appropriate.
Community-level campaigns that spread financial awareness beyond classrooms — targeting parents, local leaders, and youth groups.
Our Reach
We reach students, schools, and organizations across India — building a generation that is financially aware and free.
Reaching students across both government and private schools — ensuring every child, regardless of background, gets access to financial education.
Reaching young adults before they enter the workforce — equipping them to make smart financial decisions.
We partner with existing NGOs in education and child welfare to amplify our reach and deliver programs to underserved communities.
Get Involved
Whether you are a finance professional, a student, or just someone who cares — your skills and time can help us reach more children. Together, we can raise India's financial literacy.
